Mulch

We had our mulch delivered on Friday. We had the same company deliver some last year. When it came, Matt moved his car from the driveway so the dump truck could back in. He forgot to set his emergency brake and the car rolled down the hill into a construction barricade. This year when Owen saw the mulch, he asked, "Is today the day Daddy's car roles down the hill?" Luckily the mulch arrived without incident this time.

Owen likes to take pictures, too. Sometimes we help him steady the camera, but he usually chooses his own subjects.

Winter weddings

We set out for my niece Susan's wedding in Indianapolis on a Friday afternoon. We counted more than thirty cars that had slid off the interstate. There was also a pickup and trailer that had jack-knifed and flipped over. We were in the car for three hours and traveled about sixty miles. Eventually we stopped. The weather was better the next morning and we made it to Indy for the wedding. Here are some pictures.

Aunt Jen and Niece Meredith

Here I am with my sweet little niece. We were in Indy for a wedding and I finally got to hold her. She's simply adorable. You can't tell in the picture, but she has bright blue eyes, the cheeks of an angel and the longest eyelashes you've ever seen. I can't wait to see her again.
